Masayang masaya ang araw ni miho.
Naubos din ang mga paninda nyang sampaguita.
Sa wakas makabili na rin sya ng gamot para sa ina nya.
Dumaan muna sya sa simbahan para magdasal.
Nang matapos,naglakad pauwe sa bahay nila.
Nadaanan nya mga kaklase nya.
Kinawayan sya,lumapit at binati nya ang mga ito.
Ngunit ramdam nyang iba ang turingan ng mga kaklase nya sa kanya.Dahil sila'y mahirap na nakatira sa squater's area.
Mabait at matalino si miho.
Kaso,palaging umaabsent dahil mas inuuna ang pagbebenta ng sampaguita kesa sa pag-aaral dahil sya lang ang bumubuhay sa kanila ng nanay nya.
Masakitin kasi ang nanay nya.
Anak si miho sa pagkadalaga ng nanay nya.
Magdadalawang linggo nang may sakit ang nanay nya kaya di na muna sya papasok sa paaralan.
Nasa bahay na sya at pinainom na nya ng gamot ang nanay nya..
miho: Nay,di parin ako papasok bukas,babantayan lang kita.
Aling Koncheng: Siga na anak,pumasok kana,kaya ko na ang sarili ko. Magtatapos kapa naman sa grade six.
Dapat makapasa ka Parin para sa libreng pangtuition mo.
miho: Nay,hindi kita pwedeng iwan sa kalagayang yan...

Aling Wanda: Hoy! Ano ba kayo mag ina?! Magbayad na kayo ng renta nyo sa bahay! Dahil kung hindi,itatapon ko kayo sa labas!!!

miho: Pasok kayo Aling Wanda.
Hindi naman po kami tatakas sa bayarin namin. Ito ho paunang pambayad.Sa susunod na linggo ko nalang ho dagdagan yan para bayad na kami ngayong buwan.
Aling Wanda: Oh, pero ito tatandaan nyo ha! (Sabay duro sa mag-ina) kung di nyo mabayaran ang kulang nito,pasensyahan nalang tayo! Sa labas kayo pupulutin!
Umalis na ang matanda na walang paalam.
Nahahabag ang ina ni miho habang tinitingnan ang anak.
Aling Koncheng: miho anak,kung may magagawa lang ako..
