Twenty-two year old Ava Kaiser, the daughter of a washed up, wannabe rock star, is sick to the back teeth with her dad's rock 'n' roll all night, party everyday way of life. She needs real excitement in her life, not college parties with her parents. She's always wanted stability, and protection. And then she meets him. Officer Erich Auer. A German-American policeman, who sets off all the right sparks inside her. Ava is smitten. Erich is everything her dad isn't: Grounded, macho, serious. An alpha male. But her dad, Lonnie, hates nothing more than authority. The police give him speeding tickets, interrupt his happening parties, and give him warnings. Now there's one hot for his only daughter! Lonnie just wants what's best for Ava, and his lifestyle, and that's not law enforcement. Lonnie will fight the law, but... the law has weapons, and he only has guitars. Lonnie knows that Erich will only bring problems into the picture. How can Lonnie smoke pot with a cop in his house? What could his daughter possibly see in him? What if Ava falls head over heels for the officer, and he gets killed on the job? As for Erich, he's used to protocols, rules, and one nightstands. He's a ladies man, but love is a foreign language. He is not scared of love. His job description requires bravery. He was born to protect and serve. And then she came into his life, and taught him that love is the most important protocol. As the two different worlds crash together, one of order, the other of chaos, Erich and Ava realize they're not only falling together, they're taking down her entire family along with them, and they don't even care. With crime running amok in the streets, rockers partying like it's 1999, family drama raging like a storm, can Ava and Officer Erich's forbidden romance blossom into something truly beautiful and unbreakable? Or will Lonnie finally beat the system, and break the lovebirds apart forever?
