The Guarded Princess
Fairy Tail, a guild known for its prestigious mages and also its destructive nature, was a place where almost all mages wished to be a part of. Yet, beneath that cheerful and bright look laid something horrifying. Their willingness to readily throw someone away if they felt like it and such was the case of Lucy Heartfilia. One of the few celestial mages left on the face of the Earth, she was seen but a mere replacement for the one that mattered the most to them. In this story, I attempt to delve into what would happen if a Japanese 2D girl was introduced into the 21st century world we live in. How would one communicate to an anime girl without subtitles? How would a kid who's little more than a loser wage slave and does nothing productive have to change his lifestyle to accommodate his new roommate? Can you fall in love with a girl who is just as confused by 3D humans as you are by 2D humans? And can she fall in love with you despite being terrified of men? All these questions and more will be answered in this story.
