Tobais Neal Umbral was born and raised on Origin, a now long forgotten and distant plant. Only a small population lives on the desolate planet along side the flora and fauna there. Everyone there has the capacity and capability to utilize magic and the sciences in harmony.
But when his childhood best friend and soon to be lover goes missing in an act to protect him, Tobais finds that his home has been reduced to a wasteland with ashes everywhere. He stumbles on the The Temple of Tongues, wondering if it'll bring answers or will it just lead to more questions.

It's a sweet and deep romance about two characters negotiating their feelings for each other while life is doing everything to tear them apart. The characters have such mature conversations and, there's no reliance on the miscommunication trope at all. I'm *obsessed.* If you enjoy intriguing fantasy novels with deep and thoughtful themes, check out 'The Gifts of Mortality' by @eleanorkennedy14 . It explores the concept of mortality and how it gives life meaning through the eyes of both gods and humans. The story follows Samil, the god of the Festivals and the Arts, who is shocked by the apathy of his fellow gods when a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death. Despite finding no support among his kind, he's determined to help the humans, which sets him down an interesting course. There are lots of great twists in this novel, and I also loved seeing how queerness was worked in throughout both the immortal and mortal realms. Samil is a sweet and refreshing character to root for who is determined to see the good in the world.Complete

18+ Trigger warning for talk of suicide/drugs.* A story about a young human girl who tries to steal from a fae man. She gets put in a cell under the royal palace, waiting for her 18th birthday. While in jail, she meets a young boy, they develop a friendship that turns into something more. By her 18th birthday instead of a trial and the execution she's been waiting for she gets a whole lot more. This is a fully done story that is 35 ch, exactly 128,210 words. If you're just looking for smut ch. 14, 17, 30, 31, and 33 Preview Ivy felt like she had been lit on fire, a cold icy fire that was burning her alive. "I wish you were dead", she hissed at him as she broke the kiss. "Do it, kill me", he hissed back. She went for his throat, the lessons definitely helped but she was no match for him. "One day you'll be able to best me. Lucky for me that day isn't today." Ivy had wanted to claw his eyes out, "you're a monster." "So is everyone." "Not everyone kills seventeen guards." "You're right, only the strong kill in our world. Too bad we don't live in a fairytale." "Don't dare make me feel insane, it's insane, the world we live in! I Became The Villain's Secretary
After I suddenly died I possessed the body of what I thought was an extra within a novel. From then on my life was mostly calm, though not fulfilling. Until one day I discovered I wasn't just a background figure; instead I was an insignificant character who'd end up being the villainous Grand Duke's secretary, only to die shortly after being near him! But I had no choice, it was too late to change my fate, so I decided to live as obediently as possible under the orders of the sadist villain. But I still had a plan. Even before the female lead makes her appearance, I will try in every way to make the villain a little more normal, or at least ensure that the two do not meet, so that no one will face a harsh death, including me! And then, after the villain doesn't become obsessed with the female lead and becomes more normal, I will be able to resign and live peacefully. So I just cleared all the suspicions he might have about me in order to not incur his wrath and die like in the novel. * * * "I'll give you a choice." The corner of his lips raised crookedly. Though that smile did not reach his eyes at all. "One, don't resign and stay here forever..." His gaze was enough to unnerve me. "Two, let me kill those who dared to give you the idea of resigning...then don't go and stay here forever." No, haven't I already made sure that the villain has become a little more normal!? ...What the heck is going on!? He shouldn't be like this!
