Elizabeth is a German-American girl born in America. When Elizabeth was three, her father took off with her after her mother - a German immigrant - died. She had spent the last fifteen years in the wild, living off the land and experiencing the cultures around her. For twelve years of her life, Elizabeth has been traveling all over the eastern part of the United States. She's seen so many Indian tribes and seen so many sights. She loved breathing in the crisp air in the mornings. She knows so much about living in wild. She doesn't like being in the cities. They're too crowded and noisy. Everyone judges her for wearing pants and criticises her short hair. Elizabeth never belonged in the cities. She belonged in the big wide world, where no citizens her. Elizabeth runs into her old friend, Hinto, who lived in a Dakota tribe in the Midwest. Elizabeth had missed Hinto after not seeing him for an entire year.
