Twelve women are killed in London, cause of deaths unknown.

Miles away, in the English countryside, a little religious village has a disturbance, and everything turns upside down.

One unsuspecting teenager meets a warlock one night, and she is submerged into the world of the paranormal: befriending vampires, enrolling in magic school, and joining an elite force to capture a rogue witch....

Penny Sloan hates her life in the stifling Lockview Village, where her adopted parents remind her daily that they did her a favour when they whisked her away from London as a baby. But her love of horror novels, spooky films and black clothes makes her the village pariah. One day, they kick her out, return her to the bustling capital, and there she discovers the Cave, a city dwelling beneath London, where vampires, witches and creatures of the deep reside.

For the fae, magic is everything: status, power, wealth, honor. For Vera Reite, a fae born with no magic, it is a shameful reminder that she will never amount to anything. Whispers of a fae-killing monster begin to circulate the Moon Court. It lurks in the woods, feeding off the mana of its victims. Those that go missing and find themselves at the mercy of the beast are never seen or heard from again. Fear quickly takes hold of the fae court; it's only a matter of time before their whole world is destroyed by this creature. However, it offers Vera a glimmer of hope. When she learns of it, she ventures into the wood to kill the beast, believing that she will be able to absorb the magic it has stolen. But the woods are as dangerous as the beast, and Vera soon finds herself lost. In a stroke of luck, she comes across an old manor deep in the forest where a strange boy is sealed away. If Vera wishes to slay the beast, she will first have to uncover the secret of the manor and its prisoner before it's too late. 𝐀 𝐟𝐚𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜, 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭. This story begins in the year 2001, although maybe it started twenty six years before that when Alice was born. Or even before that when her parents met each other. You could say it probably started centuries ago when England was covered in thick oak woodland. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself or maybe behind, for now every story has to start somewhere. Alice is a slightly plump office worker. She lives in a shared flat in London with some other girls, who she hardly ever talks to as she is very shy. She is happy to finally be independent after leaving her mother's house. Her job is her life and she loves it. Next she plans to get a boyfriend and to lose a bit of weight, then her life will be perfect. Things seem to be going well on the surface. Unfortunately the dreams were getting worse, Alice just couldn't get any sleep. After taking yet another sick day, completely by accident! Her supervisor finally gave her the talk and temporarily suspended her. It was time to sort her life out, if only she can find some courage. She is as surprised as anybody when she steps out of the office and life suddenly gets interesting! What happens when Alice goes in search of her dreams? Are they nightmares or something else? Read on to find out. Cover, illustrations and photographs by Sarah Nana. (me) Copyright 2020, Please don't copy my book thanks! Dedicated to Ginger and Peanut, my chickens who died during the writing of this book. There are some descriptions of a violent or slightly graphic nature and some slightly mature content but not enough for a wattpad mature rating.

** A young woman sees a walking dead in the open streets of Whitby. A train full of corpses crashes into Kings Cross. In an Asylum, a gruesome nightmare becomes horrible reality. All this should have been a warning to Kyle and his partner Benjamin of the Order of Seekers. ** "Mundus vult decipi, ergo decipiatur. The world wants to be deceived; let it be deceived!" - Motto of the Order of Seekers - London 1899. Where spirit calling has become as normal as cricket and tennis, the lines between fantasy and reality blur. In fine society, occultism and an affiliation with 'secret' lodges are part of the latest fashion. A particularly exclusive group of this kind is the Order of Seekers, dedicated to researching, keeping secrets, and covering up supernatural events. The Magician Kyle Crowford and the Military Doctor Dr. Benjamin Archer belong to that lodge. Their latest order: a girl is said to have seen a revenant in Whitby in broad daylight. Was it just the mirage of a twisted mind or horrible facts? A race against time begins for the seekers because their tracks always lead them to a clue: vampires. If everything turns out to be true and the dead walk the earth, the living will fill the graves by the hundreds. What begins for the two men with a seemingly harmless order develops into a landslide of events, the extent of which soon terrorizes the whole of London. **** Cover by Thinkerling
