Z is a thief, a low life teenager who fights for scraps of food to survive. But, she's immune to the plague.
Plague, a doctor who never shows his face. There's a murderer going around, and half the doctors disappear, and he needs an Immune to find them. That's where Z comes in, and Plague pulls her along, quite literally kicking and screaming. They have to tolerate each other just long enough so the "Crow Murderer" will no longer be an issue.
But they may have bitten off more than they can chew.

A Country Life
Three hundred years after the fall, the known world is beginning to regain a semblance of order, with the sword the ultimate power once more. Orphaned, plague-marked and mistrusted by the community he lives in, a boy must come to terms with the fact that he is different from everyone else, but is soon the focus of unwelcome and deadly attention. Separated from her father, a young girl has to learn to survive in a foreign land haunted by tribes of ghosts and roving bands of piratical thralls to a sadistic King. A watcher keeps lonely vigil from within a fortress that has been under siege for hundreds of years, while a soldier dies for the twenty-third time, and dies again while wondering if he is going mad. First started in 2015, this story is at 50k+ words, but was removed when a plotting hiccup was encountered. I now intend to split it into three parts, and this is the complete Part 1. They used my vulnerability against me. They used that weapon, to make me accept their stupid idea. And I of course, accepted it, I didn't even know what they were going to do.
