⚠️No longer being updated.⚠️ The White Lion. Guardian of light. She doesn't just pick anyone to be her paladin. She's stubborn but caring. If her paladin is in trouble she rushes to their aid. If you can create a strong bond with her, she will do anything for you. That's where you come in (Y/N). (Y/N) started out at the Garrison with her life long friends Takashi Shirogane and Keith Kogane. Shiro was 24 and she was just a year younger than him, while Keith was 6 years younger than her. All the same they were her best-friends at the Garrison. Sadly, Shiro went missing during his mission to Kerberos and she was left devastated. She dropped out of the Garrison and Keith followed. Every night while Keith was sleeping, she would go outside and look up at the stars and hope Shiro would return. Her wish was granted. But something very unexpected came along with it. Toumia
After barely fighting off a fleet of Galra ships, Voltron lands on the planet Toumia that is surrounded by three suns, humbly expecting thanks, gratitude, and food. Not necessarily in that order. However, as soon as they land on the ground, the leader of the Ibhe Htua, Pedagogue Tuaste, tells them that they did a good job, but there's a lot to learn before they even have a hope of defeating Zarkon and his evil empire. Grudgingly, they accept her offer to train them. However, a new threat to the universe arises soon after they land on Toumia, one that is completely unrelated to Zarkon and the Galra Empire. One of the many societies on the planet with purple grass has developed a way to help the universe, but the Voltron Team knows that this will do anything but help the universe, and that they must stop it at all costs. Together, the five Paladins make up Voltron, Defender of the Universe. And what do defenders of the universe do? They defend it. * * * The timeline for this fanfiction within seasons 1-2 of VLD are unknown, for reasons that will be clear by the end of this particular fanfiction. As such, the characters will know how to do certain things, and not know other things. Because of this, there will be spoilers for some things but not others, and seeing as this happens somewhere within the spacetime between the episodes of seasons 1 and 2. It's weird. Hang with me, it'll all make sense by chapter sixteen. Maybe fifteen. I haven't written that far out yet. And just as a forewarning: in this, I will be doing several play-on-word jokes that may seem offensive. THEY ARE NOT. "S-Stay, p-please," Keith mumbled, hiding his face in his pillow. Lance nodded climbing beside the small boy. Keith turned to face him, his face flushed as he looked at Lance, "T-Thanks." "For what?" Lance whispered, his breath close enough for Keith to touch. "B-Being by my side," Keith moved closer to Lance, closing the small distance between them, "I-I thought y-you'd all hate me." "Why would you think that?" "Ha," Keith let out a bitter laugh, "I'm half Galra. I share half of my DNA with a race who has killed countless civilizations, not to mention they kidnapped Shiro and Katie's family, and they-" "Exactly, "they". You didn't help them do any of that, right?" Lance touched Keith's forehead with his own, drinking in the feel of his soft skin. "N-No but-" "No "buts", you didn't choose to be born part Galra, and you have more than proved you're a paladin." "Allura and Coran hate me," Keith mumbled, trying to find some way to prove that they did indeed hate him. "No they don't, just give them some time to adjust," Keith turned around, pulling Lance's arm around him, "They have to get used to you. None of us hate you, not the smallest bit." Lance waited for Keith to argue but the boy had already fallen asleep. Lance hugged the boy tighter as he copied his steady breaths. "I could never hate you." ------------------------------------------------- Keith gets kidnapped during a simple mission of the paladins. He's tortured and abused for three days, leaving him a damaged mess. The paladins finally find him and bring him home, but Keith is acting strange, stranger than usual. I obviously don't own Voltron. Earth is saved from the Galra, and the Paladins of Voltron are the heroes of the Galaxy Garrison, well all except for Keith. He'd been kicked out before the war, and they didn't want him back. He's alone again. Lance, Pidge, and Hunk are employed by the Garrison, Shiro leads missions off world, Allura and Coran are establishing a new world for the Alteans who'd survived, and the Blade don't need him. Keith works in a coffee shop and gets by the best he can, on the little money he earns. This story is loosely based on the paladins of Voltron. I have not watched all the seasons and have changed the backstory of some characters. I do not own any of the characters in this story, and I do not own any of the artwork. There is smut, swearing, talk of rape, and self-harm in the story. I will not be putting disclaimers at the beginning of the chapters, so if you don't want to read it, move on to another story.
