Despite what the video games may tell you, life after the apocalypse is no piece of cake. The group in "Wasted" can attest to that sentiment as they travel the wasteland in search of vengeance and retribution. Solomon Caspian has never fit in in what he calls "Podunk Village" AKA the town that he grew up in. With an overbearing sister and an overwhelming urge to make idiotic mistakes, it's just fitting he'd provide a helping hand in bringing the whole village to a crumbling state. Meanwhile, Ezekiel Walter Chambers has never had to fit in anywhere since he never stayed in one place long enough for it. A man constantly on the run and enjoying every second of it, an adventure to a town like "Podunk Village" is one of the lesser adventures he's had. Until his past catches up to him and sweeps him away on an adventure where he has an anger and possibly psychotic mayor sleeping just a few feet away from him at night. At last, Morgan Caspian. She's the mayor of Podunk Village has been since it started. With so much conviction and temper, it's not a surprise to anyone, especially her brother, what she'll go through on this journey for her revenge.

The world ended long ago, riddled with plague and zombies and destruction. But humanity survived, and humanity evolved. The Infection that helped bring the world to its knees also changed humans in ways to help them keep living in this now broken world ready to be rebuilt. Seven lineages with three strains each, and each have their own unique set of traits that help us survive. But that's not what this story is about-at least, not really. This story isn't about how a hero will rise and bring the world back to what it was Pre-Fall. This story is about me, an ordinary Remanat living life through the world day to day as a mercenary. A beginner mercenary as everyone likes to remind me. The others in my group have been calling me 'Rookie' since I joined them three months ago. I'm beginning to wonder if they actually know my name. We have been hired to help the New Reach Caravan travel across the wastelands to Philly Del Phia, and this is the perfect opportunity to show them that I'm not just a dumb Rookie. I'm actually quite good at my job. I just happen to get distracted by one certain Eight-Ball, but it's not my fault he's good-looking, and charming, and funny... Anyway, all I have to do is help my group get the caravan to Del Phia. Should be an easy enough job. Just avoid the zoms and keep clear of the Raiders, and we should be fine... Right? Disclaimer: I do not own Zombies, Run! or its characters, nor do I own Dystopia Rising LARP. This is just my Rookie's reaction to the Dystopia Rising New Adventure in the Zombies, Run! App.
Alexander, Carly, and the Blood Farm by BenGamer2496
11 parts Complete Mature
In Bradford High School in Georgia, and in the town itself, Alexander could easily be considered one of, if not the school's best basketball underdog. But in more recent times, all of that may be thrown out the window all together. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In Bradford, Georgia, everything seems and feels different than the rest. The townspeople there are known for four main things. Camping, hiking, and fun around the two local lakes, mass wildlife hunting, the basketball players at its highschool, and it's tragedy from the mid-19th century resulting in its many overlooked adaptations during the time of Autumn around the date of the accident. However, things begin to stir up once a pair of sisters show up with unknown and unclear intentions. But soon, they attract the attention of Alexander Phillips, referred to as one of the Bradford Baskatball Heros of the school's basketball team. Not long after though, several citizens are found dead with a murderer left on their town's hands. Luckily, it doesn't take very long for Alexander, the younger sister Carly, and many others to realize what's going on behind the curtain, leaving them in a race against time to save their town and maybe even the world from the paranormal wrath of the tragedy's fallout. This work is inspired by (including but not limited to): "Stranger Things" by the Duffer Brothers, "Scary Stories to tell in the dark" by CBS Films, Halloween Kills by Universal Pictures, and likely a lot more that I didn't mention(but if you see your/someone else's content, I DIDN'T WILLINGLY COPY THEM OK).

Hey, you! Yeah, you. Listen up, dude, because I don't have much time. Actually, I have a ton of time, I just don't feel like repeating myself. South Park is infested with zombies. Yeah, you heard me right. Shuffling around, undead, want to eat you zombies. I'm stuck as some kind of leader of a tiny crew of kids. I don't know what the hell I'm doing, but everyone else seems to think I do, so I guess we're going with that. In a few days the whole town went from being kinda nuts to completely chaotic. Why do people think I'm a good leader? Why'd all the adults leave? Where's literally half of my grade, they can't all be dead, can they? Why are we not allowed to leave South Park? Do they want us die? How long can we keep on living like this? Most importantly, why couldn't I have just gone with Tweek to the stupid bathroom? Now he's M.I.A. and it's my fault. Anyway, I hope maybe you can find some pleasure in reading this. I mean, I would probably get bored, but whatever floats your boat, dude. Gotta run. Clyde's throwing another fit because someone ate his Hot Pocket (Spoiler Alert, it was me). See ya later, stranger. -Craig **NOTE: the story is not written as journal entries by Craig, I just thought it would be a fun little bit to put as the hook. Apologies if it is misleading.** **ALSO NOTE: the mature content warning is for language, and language only. Well, and I suppose gore and violence, but that depends on what you define as gore and violence**
Exile: The Book of Ever by JamesCormier
30 parts Complete
Centuries after the Fall, the United States has been wiped away. The crumbling remains of the great American empire are home now only to savage, lawless tribes and packs of ravening Damned-the twisted children of the apocalypse. Most of those few who survived humanity's destruction spend their short lives in a violent struggle for survival. But some light still flickers in the darkness: the Blessed of Bountiful live in seclusion, relying on walls both physical and spiritual to protect them from the Desolation that their world has become. Among them are the Saints, those few men and women born with superhuman abilities that the Blessed see as gifts from God. The violent apostate tribes of the Northeast Kingdom have always been a danger, but up until recently its small size and the vigilance of its people have made Bountiful an unappealing target. As attacks on the community grow harsher and more frequent, however, even the steadfast Blessed are forced to start preparing for the worst. With her home's very existence threatened, seventeen year old Ever Oaks, a Saint with the power to heal, is forced to make a difficult choice, one that may come to define her people's future... Exile was a semi-finalist in Mark Lawrence's Great Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off (#SPFBO). Fantasy Faction said it was "extremely cool," and Bookish Lifestyle called it "more than just a story, a journey and an experience." When I'm asked about it, I often describe it as "X-Men meets The Walking Dead." In addition to reading it here for free, you can buy Exile in e-book or paperback on Amazon.com.
