Various Reader-Inserts Steve Rogers x Reader.

LESSONS IN RULE BREAKING
→As a college student, you have a part-time job - you work at the counter desk in Smithsonian museum in the still relatively new exposition. The Captain America's one.
You knew you could get in trouble when breaking the no-newcomers-after-30-minutes-before-the-closing-time rule, but you didn't expect the trouble to look like this.

IN THE STRANGEST PLACE (WE JUST MIGHT FIND LOVE)
→You're hiding from your boss in a supply closet, minding your own business, when a stranger joins you unexpectedly. This is not a beginning of a steamy story; given the reason you're hanging out in the dark, even a make-out session is honestly the last thing you want to fantasize about right now.
But that doesn't mean that the nice man cannot make your day better.

NO APOLOGIES NEEDED
→She did it again. Your friend left you alone in the bar only to make-out with a guy she just met. So the plan is to go home. Except things rarely go as planned.
Then again, this change of plans in the form of a handsome stranger seems rather pleasant. Until it doesn't.

SURPRISE ME
→Thanks to your friend, you got a job as a P.A. to a director she often works with. With a little help from lady fortune, you actually ended up on set... where Captain America's PSAs for school kids are being filmed.
So... the chances are that you're gonna screw up, especially when interacting with Captain Rogers himself.
To be fair, it's not your fault the lines are so funny.

THE LINE BETWEEN RESPECTFUL AND STUPID
→You heard a lot about the famous Captain America - he was a living legend after all, stories about him whispered in the halls of SHIELD at every corner.
Being one of the newest recruits turned-agents, you didn't expect to meet the man personally though.
And you definitely didn't expect to find out that there was more to the man than his shield and the alleged stick shoved up his ass.

I nod my head, "I forgot to ask. What happened to your hand?" "Fell off a train in the mountains. HYDRA found me and gave me this metal one." "Leaving me there and going really did nothing for you huh." "Thea-," he walks towards me. I yawn, stretching my arms and he watches me. My shirt slightly lifts, revealing one of my scars. "What happened?" He comes close to me, and places his metal thumb on my bare skin, trailing the scar. "Nothing," I move away from his touch, trying to ignore the butterflies ricocheting through me. He looks in my eyes, "Every scar has a story." I chuckle dryly, "Then I must be a novel." Bucky leans towards me slightly, my face hardly an inch from his, "You're a novel I'd want to read." Theadora Rogers doesn't know her origins. Correction, she doesn't remember. Correction, HYDRA wiped her mind when she was only 18 and her older brother, Steve, was 20. But like I said, she didn't remember him. She knew 3 things: 1. Her name was Datura and she was 28. 2. She is HYDRA's best assassin and she is kept in cryofreeze unless she is needed in a mission, and that she trained for 10 years before that. 3. All hail HYDRA. Datura is a beautiful flower, but deadly. Many people die every year consuming its seeds. The drug was amazing, but addicting and it kills millions every year. Now, down to business. Our Datura has a mission. To kill Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America. But what happens when, for the first time in 80 years, she fails and the Avengers capture her? What happens when she meets the broken Winter Soldier? Read to find out. 😉 (Takes place during Captain America : The Winter Soldier)

Sequel to Punching Bag! My heart is beating about as fast as I'm spinning the two rings around my finger. I stare out the jet windows at the changing landscape, so different from where I just was. I pause and look down at the rings with nostalgia staining my tongue. A smile curves my lips up when I fiddle with the bottom shining silver band with the little A on it and then the little spider on the other. "You need to calm down. Even I can hear your heartbeat." Natasha tells me calmly as she flies. A moment passes with her searching jade eyes on mine before I sigh. "It's been three months," I tell her green eyes as she suppresses a smile. "I've been gone longer. This was your chance to stretch your legs, Jo, and you did extremely well." She reassures me. "What's bothering you?" Natasha pushes slightly, knowing I'm not telling her something. My eyes roll. "Are you forgetting I didn't exactly have permission to leave? And how adamant everyone was that I shouldn't have?" She raises an eyebrow. "Everyone?" She repeats and I deflate slightly in surrender. She was on my side, mostly. "You're over eighteen and legally allowed to make your own decisions. The team has no hold on you, Jo." I fix her with an incredulous glare and her lips twitch. "Other than affection." Sighing, I press my lips together. "Right. And that has no hold on me." It's been three years since the events in Punching Bag and three months since Jo left to be on her own. Returning back to the facility has its own set of problems though. Including a stubborn Steve Rogers, broken-hearted Peter Parker, and an American public that Jo must win over to be an Avenger. And even more surprises down the line... *I DO NOT OWN THE AVENGERS. "A gift." One guard says to someone else in the room as he leaves. I groan in pain and scrunch myself into a ball, squeezing my eyes shut. Seconds later I hear shuffling and then someone is beside me. "Y/N?" Asks a voice. No- Bucky's voice. My whole body relaxes and I let out a soft breath. He's ok. ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ Staying together has always been the most important thing to Y/N Rogers. After the death of her mother left her an orphaned 15-year-old, her friendship with her older brother Steve and best friend Bucky mattered more than ever. She latched onto them, finding some bittersweet solace in their closeness. In turn, they finished raising her. The three were inseparable. Even now, six years later, nothing has changed. So when Bucky and Steve both leave to fight in the war the last thing she's going to do is stay in Brooklyn. Nothing's too far if it keeps their trio together. Not leaving everything she knows behind, not shoving down feelings she's refused to acknowledge for years, not even risking her life time and time again. It's the kind of commitment fueled by an infinite amount of love, but guaranteed to end in disaster, every single time. "Hold on!" He asks vehemently. "What do you want?" I ask, irritated. His blue eyes widen and still manage to shine in the dim moonlight, his dark, golden hair looking like a halo on his head. America's golden boy he is. He hesitates at my question, as if he doesn't even know himself. "Why don't you come back with me? I can get you some food, a warm bed, some clean clothes?" He offers kindly. I look at him skeptically. "Back where? Your ivory tower?" I sass. He presses his lips together before jumping to the other dumpster. "Look, I just want to help. It doesn't matter what the press says. They get a lot wrong anyway." He shoots a smile down at me to try and win me over. "Well, that's wonderfully patriotic of you," I hop down and start walking down the alley away from him. "but no thanks." I slip my thumbs under the straps of my backpack and clutch on. Steve Rogers appears next to me in seconds, walking with me. I create distance between us, making sure we don't touch. Before he opens his mouth, I stop us both, my temper flaring up. "Look, I have no interest in being your charity case. I don't want to be in the press, used as an example of how good the Avengers are, or any of that shit. I just want to be left alone!" I huff, pulling my backpack tighter against my back to resist punching Captain America. Steve's eyes go to my still bloody knuckles in the dim light and his eyebrows furrow even further. "Oh, dear god." I complain at seeing more concern on his face. Before he can put a gentle hand on my shoulder and give me a rousing speech about justice or something I kick him hard in the balls. As soon as he leans over I start sprinting. I reach another dumpster and jump on top of it, then leap to the nearest fire escape. Then, I'm on the roof and feel like I'm flying. Some people've gotta learn the hard way; not everyone wants to be saved. SEQUEL 'Into the Ring' IS UP NOW! *I DO NOT OWN THE AVENGERS. ONLY THE CHARACTERS AND SITUATIONS I CREATE.*
