In this world, there are two type of people, marked and non-marked.
Marks are almost like a tattoo that you are born with, which gives you tremendous power based off that 'Tattoo.'
At first both marked and non marked lived together in peace, at least they did until eleven years ago, when the town was nearly wiped out by a single marked.
Now both worlds are divided by walls.
Non-marked are free to live their life the way they choose, but marked like me have only one choice...Run.
Run because if they catch you there is no escape.

Six high school students looks like anyone else acts like anyone else but are capable of things no one else is. They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. This is the story of an abused teenage girl, Maddie. Her need to die has become overwhelming and she is trying to find a way to help herself before she does something she may regret. The story is told from her point of view as she recalls all that has happened to her. Maybe telling her story will help her, maybe not. This isn't just any other sob story. This is more realistic. You may even find yourself comparing your life to Maddie's while reading this story.
