After enduring the past year with heartache and unrelenting guilt, Andrea Devitto hopes the next one will be better. She decides to take up the offer of attending Rivera Arts, a notorious performing arts university located in the heart of Los Angeles. Ditching the hefty winds of Chicago for the sunny rays of California, Andrea thinks that—along with her collection of booze—immersing herself in her music will be the thing that helps her forget.

Except, she has a hard time doing so with Darien Emek, an uprising singer and part-time womanizer. He keeps poking his nose in her business, especially in places where it doesn’t belong. With a choice of either loving him or punching him, Andrea finds herself particularly fond of the latter.
