The Big Sun concerns itself with a discovery of meaning in a purposeless world. Its protagonist, Arnot, seeks a way to make sense of the chaos of living after an unexpected misfortune unites him with the despondent Kelly. Together, they embark on a drug-fueled discovery of the recesses of the mind.
