Lilace, your average college student, fresh out of high school and out of a job that pays less than a penny, finds herself in the realm of Fae after a night of partying, in which she wasn't invited to.

She ventures into the forest of Fae. She finds a friend in a male witch, who goes by Maliki. After knowing the witch for months, she runs away, but comes face to face with another witch, who claims to know and remember her. There she meets two female faeries, Seelie and Unseelie.

Courts away, the Frost Queen declares that her brother, Jack Frost, is going to kill a new witch that she knows is a threat. But Jack knows that killing an innocent is against the Law of the High Council. So instead of killing the innocent witch, he takes her and her companions to safety, far away from the threats of the Winter Court.

There are many millions of parallels. Worlds living and breathing at the same time - time doesn't even exist, 18th century England is living and breathing alongside the present day. While London is living in the past, Afalon is pushing toward it's future. 7 sons, a rare and lucky amount, are Princes in line to the throne. Melanie is in the 18th century, conning each village out of their wares in exchange to see but an inch into their future. Then, after an unlucky exchange, she's dragged into the floating court-city of Afalon in the Æther - another world entirely - to stand trial for someone else crimes. Trial by fire. Trial without end. Ameline has been busy pillaging and murdering her way through Afalon for months, making the ælfin pay for what they did to her family. Then, on a whim, she decides to go big or go home. She kills one of the Seven Princes. Those same princes who embody the attributes of each deadly sin... Now, another girl is brought from her homeworld, Earth, to stand trial for Ameline's own crimes. Worse still... she recognizes her face so, so much. It's her own. A doppelgänger. A modern twist on terrible childhoods and anti-heros. Melanie and Ameline's story is a page-turner you certainly need to start, but with such tragedy and twisting themes of joy and horror you'll want to finish. 142 parts Complete

It's the end of the semester at Chatoyant College, but that doesn't mean Corrie, Edie, and Dawn have time to do nothing but focus on their finals. A few mysteries still remain about the book that was given to them, and Corrie is determined not to leave for the winter without releasing her ex-boyfriend, Paul, from the binding spell that was put on him against her wishes. Now that she knows how magic works, it's not hard to disentangle the spell from the two of them... but her entanglement with Paul is far from at an end. Meanwhile, Edie's girlfriend is acting very strangely indeed-as is the faerie court. When winter falls, what will be sundered and what remains?
