Lucy Heartfilia is the blond, brown-eyed, Strawberry-scented Celestial Wizard of the Fairytail Guild. Kind and smart and maybe a bit too trusting, she is a part of Team Natsu - a group made of her best friends.

Ever since Lisanna returned from Edolas the guild seemed to be ignoring Lucy. All the people she used to talk and interact with seemed to have forgotten about her existence. At first, Lucy assumes that it's because they haven't seen Lisanna for a long time but when even her teammates start to forget about her, she wonders if they all just thought of her as Lisanna's replacement. Luckily for her, not everyone treats her like that and some still treat her as a friend. Still, she feels that empty void in her heart and starts to ponder on the thought that soon even those that treat her like a friend, would forget her.

Seven years later, the Tenrou Team is free from the stasis of the 1st Master's spell. They return to meet a completely different world from which they knew and Lucy hopes that they would all go through this together, only to be sorely mistaken. The guild wants to work their way back to the top and claim they can't because the Tenrou Team is seven years weaker than the rest of them. Not only that, they accused Lucy of being even weaker and insinuate that she is worthless. Soon after this, she is kicked out of the team and replaced with Lisanna of all people. The guild starts to mistreat her and she starts to consider leaving the guild.

As Lucy deals with the new resentment of her guild, she unlocks a secret that that had to do with her mother and her magic as well as the darkness that follows with it. She is introduced to new people and new friends as she follows the steps that have been laid out for her. As the guild's treatment worsens, her resolve strengthens and the determination to prove them wrong shines like the golden sun.
