Monet Balark had her life turned upside down more times than she can count in all her sixteen years. Her older sister was misdiagnosed when a spot on her heart was actually a hole and it ended up taking her life. Monet's parents took the loss and let it destroy their life with drugs and alcohol to dull the pain.

Even with their problems, her parent's never let it affect Monet, not until it threated her life. They made her run and changing everything in order to stay hidden just in case they found out about her.
