New York is a big, strange city. In recent years there have reports of mutated humanoid animals, ninja gangs, and missing scientists. There are the "Suit Men" who sometimes get reported, nearly identical sightings of well dressed men speaking strangely...

Locals are concerned, but take it in stride. Some even seem to have adapted.

Outside the city, the talk is largely dismissed as crazy urban legend. Until the outsiders come in and see it for themselves. Which is just what's about to happen to Aneka Kosmota.

Her mother's recent death and her father's new job send them relocating from suburbia to the big city. Everything is strange, even the new, large schools where she meets April O'Neil and Casey Jones.

However the path of unusual friends and change that relocating would ultimately send her down was completely unforseen.
