Kat Holmes is home alone reading one night, while her dad is at work. She hears a thumping from the kitchen and finds a terrifying creature and later finds herself cornered by it after an attempt to escape. She is saved by a group of people wielding swords, knives, and poisons, calling themselves the “Hunt.” There is plenty to find out about each member, from the Auburn Haired Girl who loves botany and espionage, to the only innocent looking guy in a Raven T-Shirt who secretly possesses a Cigarette Lighter of Doom. But there’s a problem, there’s a war in the works. Beneath the city, an entire species lives below mostly peacefully, bringing about order. But when an undead former monarch makes her first reappearance since the 18th Century and begins rallying the already trigger happy demons behind her cause for all out chaos, things go less than well. Now there is a set of long shots that just might be able to restore some amount of order into the Underworld, and it will all have to be set in motion by the Hunt themselves.
