Dan is a lonely Muse fan with good grades. His only friends are his dog and his notebook. He fills it with mindless doodles and pictures, the only thing from slowly driving him insane. He keeps himself to himself at school, mainly because he finds it difficult to interact with anyone other than animals.

Enter Phil, a guy who prides himself in his manly tattoos and how many guys he punches before school starts, but when they are paired for an English project, things between them change.
