The entire book is a personification of my experiences with depression and one of the coping methods I use for it.

I've been very depressed and heartbroken so, what better than to create a story out of it? "This is my life" details a protagonist going through her teenage years up until the age of 21. Through love, friendship, grief, and heartbreak, you will get to witness what it's like being a young black girl trying to conquer the world. It's basically a story about your average gamer hanging with her high school friends, and meeting new friends along the way. She was having fun until she had to think about who to go to prom with.
