He stepped back as his hands started to dry and his runes dulled. A small smile pulling at his lips at the glinting scarlet, standing out against the varying shades of grey and white that made up the citadel. Watching as the substance refuse to dry and continued to trail down the walls like tears down the cheeks of the suffering. The dull drip of droplets coming loose from the nooses echoed almost inaudibly onto the wood into a small puddle, seeping in and creating a stain that could never be removed. Like the lingering spirits of the witches that were murdered for doing what they believed was their right to do.

Even as he was stepping over the peaceful faces of slumbering guards and lumbering into the darkened forest that hugged the kingdom like a forbidding promise, he couldn't wipe that smile off his face. 

The Red Mage walks the forest, The Crown owns the streets, what happens when the two clash in a way that is anything but beautiful?



~Side Note~: My titles are in German, but I don't speak German...so sorry if the translations are a bit off.
