When Cole was 13, he was kicked out of his home after coming out as trans (female to male). He spent almost a month on the street before a children's home found him and took him in. 

Now Cole is 15 and is happier than when he was on the streets. He has everything he wants (acceptance, a roof over his head, necessities, etc), but he knows that he's missing one thing from his life: a loving family. 

When a man and his family come in looking to adopt, Cole is very surprised when he learns that they want to adopt him.

Wilbur is a young, trans masc teen. He is out to his parents, and they fully support him. They've bought him binders, let him cut his hair, and gotten him other things to help him transition. The town they live in though? Not very supportive. When they first noticed Wilbur out in public with his parents, people thought they had adopted, only to find out that he was indeed the young "girl" that happily ran around the small town with the other kids. They weren't too happy. The whole town, although small, is very homophobic and transphobic. Wilbur and his parents are the only people that are part of/support the LGBTQ+ community. On September 14, 2009, on Wilbur's thirteenth birthday, he and his parents happily spend the day together in their small home. However that happy day turned into a not-so-happy night. Two unidentifiable people break into their home, kill Wilbur's parents, and abduct him. All because he's trans. Dumbledore also changes their memories so they believe that Rose is their own daughter. As she grows up, Rose learns nothing about the wizarding world, or her true identity. That is until she turns 11, and a letter arrives to invite her to Hogwarts. As Rose gets older, she learns all about magic, but she also learns more about her own feelings and starts to question her identity. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A/N. So I had the idea of writing a version of the story where Harry was born a girl, but there are loads like that already, so I thought I would try instead doing a kind of LGBTQ+ version where he is transformed and then has to deal with experiencing this difference of gender identity. But I'm not very knowledgeable about all the gender identity stuff, so I'm sorry if I get anything wrong, and please feel free to message me so I can try and fix it. Also, trigger warning; the story gets a bit dark after he comes out as trans male. He has to deal with the conflict from other characters that don't accept his identity at first. So some of the mean ones are transphobic and misgendering etc. But I'm going to let you know now that there will be a happy ending eventually, so hopefully it won't be too hard to get through the difficult parts.
