The year is 1949, and the Cold War is creeping like a frost over the planet. Aleksei Vasiliev has fled Russia along with his family, and was lucky enough to have made it to America before World War Two ended. Over in the States, he changed his identity to 'Alex Vaughn'.
Searching for employment to add stability to his precarious place in the US, he stumbled upon a ramshackle orphanage in the forests of Oregon. Sheather House was a nice place, if a little old-fashioned. The children seemed to be happy. The strange thing, though, was the barbed fence erected around the boundary. Was it keeping something out? Or something in?
