(WILL UPDATE WHEN I CAN)

Kim Thomas has an eye for capturing the emotions that are unknown even to the beholder. Nothing brings her joy than capturing raw emotions, and powerful stories.

Her images are windows to the world. All she knows is her sheltered life in Old Town. But her avid curiosity pushes her to explore past the comfort she knows.

In preparation for college, she wants to take matters in her own hands, even if it means leaping in the unfamiliar. Leaving a place she's known all her life, but it might not be as easy as she thought.

Then she meets Jacqueline Holliday; fresh-face from New York City. No one has more experience with the unfamiliar than her. A girl whose rocky experience with life puts her on the other side from Kim. With so much pain, she's forced her to keep herself under lock and key. She's unlike anybody Kim's ever met in Old Town.

No grand meeting. Just two people, finding themselves at the right place. A story where one girl learns to welcome the fear of her future, and the other learns to let go of something she thought was worth holding on to.

"What did I want? I wanted to be someone else. Or I wanted to live in a world where I didn't have to want to be someone else." *** Connor Hill lives a life of routine: He goes to school, hangs out with his friends, pretends to be straight, rinse and repeat. He lives a life of anonymity, hiding the fact that he's gay from everyone he knows. But everything changes when he encounters the brooding, enigmatic soccer player, Josh Brooks. As the boys keep finding themselves crossing paths, it becomes more and more difficult to stay apart. Connor begins to question if his philosophy of remaining anonymous is just as painful as coming out and allowing the world to see him as someone they might reject. Secrets will be spilled. Will the truth strengthen the boys' bond? Or will their worlds be shattered? [2024 WATTYS SHORTLIST]
