Jess and her family have been trough a lot. Her parents decide that taking her to the beach for the summer will help her distract from all the stuff that is happening in her life. Ever since all this stuff happened Jess has changed, she doesn't trust anyone, she isn't comfortable and she's always in her own little world. But Jess starts to open up to Demi and Demi starts helping her. During this summer Jess goes trough more stuff and problems but this time Demi will be there to catch her whenever she falls.
