A Transmigration Novel of Seven Arcs.
Nicholas Kim's future unfolded after his death.
Despite thinking his rescue of the drowning child was just pure instinct, and his subsequent death merely an unfortunate consequence, the world regarded him as a hero. As such, he was entered into The System and given the opportunity to earn enough karmic points to re-enter his body at the point of death, thereby reviving himself and continuing his life.

Author: "Aren't you supposed to give him some help?"

Nicholas: "What kind of author forgets to give the system a voice?"
Author: *runs away and hides*

This is an original work influenced by the many translated Chinese transmigration novels I have read. While I am putting this under the Romance genre (it's an LGBTQI friendly romance so if that's not your thing then save us all the trouble) it's there mostly because there's no other clear cut genre that transmigration novels like this one belong to! Why do we skip between sci-fi, fantasy, ancient settings etc? It would be so much easier for the author if we just stayed put.
This story contains mature themes such as suicide and self-harm, mental illness, self-sacrifice, war, and racism and bigotry. I won't be putting disclaimers in front of each chapter with these themes but will include a basic run down of the themes in each Arc as they are written. If the themes and issues included in this story are troubling, or trigger an emotional response in the reader then please, reach out for help and talk to a counsellor.
Arc 1- self-sacrifice, domestic violence/abusive relationship,
Arc 2- suicide, mental illness, war

Arc 4-
Arc 5-
Arc 6-
Arc 7-
Marcus Thorne wears several masks in his life-playing retired pirate, Captain Hawk, is his favorite, but if his secret is discovered, he could die. Captivated by his enemy's daughter, Marcus kidnaps her, but in turn, she captures his heart... until he discovers Isabelle is one of Napoleon's spies with the power to endanger his life and the lives of his friends.
After her release, Isabelle can't stop thinking about her masked abductor and how he'd stolen her heart before ridding her of his presence. Betrothed to a man who strangely reminds her of the man whose kisses set her ablaze, she marries him, only to discover he's not who he seemed to be and is withholding secrets. But then, so is she.
Content warning: This story contains a mild amount of violence and kidnapping... along with plenty of falling in love.
