Moondapple's littermates seem content to live in Snowclan with their parents forever, but Moondapple is not. She is restless and anxious, and her dreams are clouded with unclear prophecies. Most of them are about a "lost clan" she must reunite. They don't make sense. Nothing is clear except the fact that she must leave. Whether to reunite the lost clan or to get out of the suffocating pressure of her perfect sisters doesn't matter. She just needs out.

However, when StarClan tell her of this evil, she may get the chance to prove herself to everyone. Rockpaw feels like an outcast, everyday being hated on by his Clanmates for seeing things differently. So when the chance to prove them wrong comes up, he doesn't give it a second thought. But the evil still resides, and Rockpaw might know more about it then he's letting on, even to himself. Greyshard, as a former kittypet, has always thought of life in the Clans as challenging. For her, everything seems to go wrong. Every plan, every schedule, every patrol - ends up in a disaster, and its always because of her.
