This book is not like most of the other romance books on here. It is not set in a high school or a cafe or one of those normal and in our opinion, overused settings. It is set somewhere different entirely. There is no bad boy/player to fall madly in love with a geeky girl who has kept out of everyone’s way for the past however long she’s been going to that school. It is about two best friends, who fall in love when they have no chance of ever being together properly. A girl called Jez and a boy called Milo, or 2247 and 2139 as they are called publicly.
You can probably guess from the cover and the fact that people have numbers for names that this won’t exactly be a happy book. And you’d be right. It isn’t. There isn’t going to be love and joy and ponies and flowers around every corner because umm, this isn’t really that kind of book.
You won’t find many clichés in this book; it’s really not that kind of story. You might think that it is a cliché for two best friends to fall in love but wait till you get to know the characters, plot and setting and you’ll think differently.
We both agree that it’s best for you to read this book with an open mind, without knowing anything about the background of the story or the place its set in. So we dare you, try something out of your comfort zone.
Give our book a try, you might just like it.
(and well done if you read right the way through that long blurb. If you did, write I am amazing in the comments on the prologue and I, @CloudBunnys, will love you lots. I can’t tell you if the same is true about @L_wolfe)
