Logan Marshall is a sophomore at Sioux City South high school in Sioux City, Iowa. Logan once heard his dad describe living in Sioux City like "living in the middle of nowhere, even though there are people around." Logan agrees with this statement, and he felt it was a perfect way to describe his home life. At school though, he has friends. Good friends. And also, Kristen. Logan loves Kristen . . . but he hates himself. He hates himself a lot. He makes himself suffer because of it. Logan Marshall is miserable. He needs to change that if he's going to save his own life . . . from himself.

Logan- the typical. he's not always good with girls, never being able to understand their motives, but enjoys being around them. He's not a bad boy or anything, just about the opposite in fact. but, he IS a great friend, and always the one to depend on. Sam- her body image is way below average. even though she seems normal, deep inside, well, not too deep, just about skin-deep, she is way too worried over the things that shouldn't matter, but do anyway in todays society: weight. Due to having a terrible memory, Aiden decided to write in journals about his daily struggles, his longing for a better life, and breakthroughs that he accomplishes throughout the story. Aiden loves to sing and Write his own music. He is good at the piano but his love is the old guitar that his Gramps gave him years ago. Aiden has one younger brother named Caleb, which is the normal typical annoying brother. Aiden has a girlfriend named Tessa who lives about an hour away from him who he longs to marry. Throughout the story, Aiden struggles to move on through each day, as days turn into night and night into day, he finds himself growing colder towards his father. Who is the towns hero practically. everybody loves the star football coach, Josh Phillips. Things aren't what they seem behind doors though, their father tends to be abusive. Verbal and physical. Aiden can choose to live with his mom but chooses not to because he wants to protect his brother who can't choose yet. As Aiden dives deeper into his fathers unknown past, he uncovers more and more details about his father's past. As he continues to dive deeper, the tension grows heavier. Through out the story, Aiden finds himself digging through old journals, trying to remember certain things. Can Aiden solve the mystery of his father's behavior and show the world the true nature of his father or will he choose to shrink down to nothing and continue to struggle?Complete

~Completed~ A 16 year old girl goes into sophomore year as a new student. Hoping that it's one to remember, she realizes that it will be. Not in the way that she had hoped. Lindsay goes through a lot of difficult situations from her mom's boyfriend, to her friend's dad, to her mom moving, to her moving with dad, to moving schools, to transferring back and losing one of her best friends. Lindsay begins to lose hope, and she begins to get really depressed to the point she feels like suicide is all that's left. She turns to drugs, alcohol, and self-harm. Feeling as if no one cares, she begins to plan her suicide. She does fine in school in hopes that it will keep the attention away from her actions.
