Set in a futuristic-medieval world, Keith is the prince to a kingdom ruled by his tyrant parents. Tired of their abuse, he joins a rebel group to take them down.
On a mission, a member of the Royal Guard mistakes him for a woman, on account of his misleading appearance. But instead of correcting him, Keith goes with it. On his next mission, he meets the guard again, but this time he's ready - his long hair is out, his nails are painted, and his eyes are lined with perfect wings.
As Keith continues to make progress with his missions, the guard continues to show up to thwart him. Their duel soon become a regular occurrence, and somehow Keith begins to look forward to them.
"How come you always pick the nights when I'm on duty to show up?"
"You're on duty every night, dumbass."

They rarely spoke to each other and only knew things about each other that they told the whole team, Shiro, Pidge, Hunk, Coran and Allura. They were always off doing their own things and never did things together unless it was for a mission. On such a mission the team got split up. Sometimes people are a lot different then you think. The first minute Lance steps into his new school he's warned about Keith Kogane. They say he's like the devil, the meanest guy you will ever meet. You better stay away from him otherwise you could get on his bad side, and then your life is over. Lance isn't the guy to judge people just because people talk about that person. But they seem to be right, as a moment later Keith throws a freshman on the ground for speaking to him. That is a sign for Lance to never even look at this guy.
