Set in a futuristic-medieval world, Keith is the prince to a kingdom ruled by his tyrant parents. Tired of their abuse, he joins a rebel group to take them down. 

On a mission, a member of the Royal Guard mistakes him for a woman, on account of his misleading appearance. But instead of correcting him, Keith goes with it.  On his next mission, he meets the guard again, but this time he's ready - his long hair is out, his nails are painted, and his eyes are lined with perfect wings. 

As Keith continues to make progress with his missions, the guard continues to show up to thwart him. Their duel soon become a regular occurrence, and somehow Keith begins to look forward to them. 

"How come you always pick the nights when I'm on duty to show up?"
"You're on duty every night, dumbass."

Keith prefers to keep to himself and only talks to shiro, but that changes when shiro drags Keith along to a group get together and lance gets curious. NUMBER 1 in #voltronlegendarydefender and #keitor Keith doesn't really fit in with Voltron. Every one has started begin distance with Keith since they found out about his blood. Of course coran and hunk are nice to him. Not even shiro is like a brother to him anymore. Allura beats him. Lance verbally abused him and Pidge is forced into the torture but she tried to resist but always joins in. Hunk and coran usually try and stop it but to no prevail. Keith get captured by the galra prince. He soon gains his trust and starts to feel safe with him. They are his new family.

But they seem to be right, as a moment later Keith throws a freshman on the ground for speaking to him. That is a sign for Lance to never even look at this guy.
