When Aaron was in eighth grade, he befriended Nash Grier. They were best friends. The first time Aaron went to Nash's house, he met Hayes. Now at the time, Hayes was only a sixth-grader. Aaron didn't care what his age was, he was cute. There were many "play dates" and sleepovers at the Grier's house that year. Whenever Aaron went over, he learned something new about Hayes. The first sleepover, he found out that Hayes was cute and funny. The third "play date", the understood Hayes' immaturity but thought it was adorable. By the end of that school year, Aaron came to the conclusion that he did, in fact, have strong feelings for his best friends brother. He didn't quite understand "love", but knew he loved Hayes. He also knew that his feelings could only lead to trouble. What Aaron didn't know was how to stop or avoid these feelings. He did what any other teenager would do, isolated himself. There were no more "play dates" or sleepovers at the Grier's. He pushed Nash and Hayes out of his life. Let's just say that Aaron's freshman year was very challenging without friends. Over the summer, he'd gotten a job at an arcade 15 minutes out of town. There he'd met Taylor Caniff. They instantly became friends. Later in the summer Aaron had met Jack Gilinsky, Taylor's boyfriend, and Gilinsky's best friends Jack Johnson and Shawn Mendes. At least Aaron would have friends his sophomore year. That year flew by. Now, it was Aaron's junior year. Hayes was an incoming freshman. Will Hayes being around make it easier for Aaron to tell him the feelings he still has or harder to ignore him?
