Determined to score into her college's Marine Biology Department, Amaryllis Kincaid walks the street as a confident, independent, young woman with a daunting reputation. College is supposed to be full of fresh starts, so why not shoot your shot? With a pep in her step, she takes on a new year full of self-love, laughter, and new friendships. Full of trepidation that her past will be drug up by the people she's let close, Amory comes to the gripping realization that she can't afford for her friends to find out about what's keeping her up all night.
When she receives a phone call that could wipe her of her sanity, she turns to this new band of misfits for comfort. Will she be able to keep this front up longer that she hoped? Or will her carefully built façade come crumbling down as she comes to terms with reality?
