________
"You never really know a man until you understand things from his point of view, until you climb into his skin and walk around in it." --Atticus Finch {To Kill a Mockingbird}
________
Determined to score into her college's Marine Biology Department, Amaryllis Kincaid walks the street as a confident, independent, young woman with a daunting reputation. College is supposed to be full of fresh starts, so why not shoot your shot? With a pep in her step, she takes on a new year full of self-love, laughter, and new friendships. Full of trepidation that her past will be drug up by the people she's let close, Amory comes to the gripping realization that she can't afford for her friends to find out about what's keeping her up all night.
When she receives a phone call that could wipe her of her sanity, she turns to this new band of misfits for comfort. Will she be able to keep this front up longer that she hoped? Or will her carefully built façade come crumbling down as she comes to terms with reality?

✬ 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔻𝕒𝕣𝕜 & 𝕃𝕚𝕘𝕙𝕥 𝕊𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕤 ✬ There is a crucial moment in one's life that determines the outcome of everything; well, as books and movies would have you believe. But Monica McCaslin didn't think she would ever be one of those people, would ever have one of those moments. Brought up in a small suburb, with everything she could ever ask for, there wasn't much left for her to want. Monica's ordinary life was to go as such- follow her high school sweetheart to college, graduate, get married, have two kids; the cookie cutter life. White picket fence included. What she did not expect was to meet a dark-haired stranger sitting all alone on a park bench, at that very same school she was to attend with said future husband. After a brief conversation, just a handful of words between them, Monica decides to go on a cross-country road trip with him; putting her faith and future in the hands of a stranger. Thinking she'd soon regret her decision and the life she left behind, she realizes she doesn't at all. Free of expectation and a future that she thought was set in stone, she begins to find the woman she was truly meant to be. State by state, with each border they cross, Monica liberates her true self. 𝔹𝕠𝕠𝕜 ➃ 𝕠𝕗 ➃ - ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕡𝕝𝕖𝕥𝕖 - ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ ✫ ✬ This is a work of fiction. Beautiful, elegant, and intelligent, Addison Reade gave up her dreams of being a doctor long ago when she married James Richardson, the lead singer for the world-famous rock band Death Ever After. Instead, she immersed herself in her husband's career and the band's dream of making music. At the same time, she starts her own band, aptly named Spitfire. Unfortunately, years of touring and fame change the Jimmy that Addison once knew. Now only women, drugs, and alcohol consume his world. It is only after Addison serves him with divorce papers that the abuse starts. Like the flip of a switch, the man she once loved becomes a complete stranger to her. When she lands in the hospital after one of Jimmy's rages, she and her Spitfire bandmates decided to hit the road and run away, leaving behind her ex-husband and the out-of-control lifestyle that followed Death Ever After like a plague. It is a stark change moving from California to Ohio, but Addison does so because here she can once again pursue her dream of becoming a doctor. She and her band also find an amazing gig at Tab, one of Cleveland's hottest clubs. Still trying to get over everything that has happened in her life, the last thing Addison needs is to fall in love again. All she wants is to become a doctor, build her medical career, and settle into a world far from the craziness of her past life. That's when she meets Winston Mallory.

Do you ever wonder what life would be like if it were a movie? Or some sappy romance novel that you wish your life could be like but it's not? Sometimes you may even get to caught up in the fictional world that you don't realise it IS fictional. Then when you do realise life isn't what you convinced yourself it would be, there is only one possible outcome. Depression. Which may lead to anxiety, self-harm, low self esteem, and worst of all, losing the people you love. Life works in weird ways. Not just for you but for others too. Take Cassidy Rivers for example. Her life is far from perfect. No parents, over protective big brother, few friends, and Asher Norman, the bad boy who won't stop picking on her. Could life get any worse for Cassidy?
