Layyah Hart. She's sarcastic yet the mother of her friend group. She's caring, she loves oreos and grapes more than she loves people and would honestly just kill to meet the cast of Law & Order SVU. Everything in her life was going great, or as great as her normal life was. Her favourite artists were making good comebacks, she got bullied occasionally, but who hasn't?
Life was still okay for her, despite her past. She had grown stronger due to the accident, although she had challenges involving her anxiety, she was okay. Nothing a good 'The Big Bang Theory' marathon couldn't fix. I mean who who doesn't love Sheldon telling people when they're sitting on his spot?
Zander A.K.A Jeonghan Park. Transfer student from South Korea, with an American father and Korean mother. He moves to America with the intention of just getting the next two years of high school over with, with the support of his friend Dennis who is the only person he knows in the new city. He plans to move back to South Korea for college, knowing all his friends and childhood memories lie there.
Things start to change when a girl named Layyah shows him around his new school. Over time he can't help but rethink he's decision on moving back.
Layyah comes to realize how she settled for things being 'okay' instead of it being worth it. She's been alive, just not living.

When Leora makes the sudden decision to move to Ohio with her father as they both run mistakes, she ends up fitting into his world like a jagged thorn in his side while he cruises through hers like a tornado on steroids. They find themselves competing for the same scholarship out of nowhere, and while AJ finds out Leora doesn't mind playing dirty, Leora learns that it's always the ones you least expect that are freaks in the sheets. She can't stand his cocky, arrogant and good hearted nature, and he can't stand to hear her drone on and on in that ridiculously cute accent. Wait, did he just say..cute? Annoying.
