I recommend reading the first two parts before this! After only two weeks into the anthro takeover, things have gone right and wrong on both sides. Emma, Cody, Eric, and many more human and engine survivors have fought to escape to a safe haven within the Biltmore estate and village in North Carolina. However, with tension between new and old faces slowly arising, everyone will inevitably have to face the war in order to survive, or at least make it out while staying themselves, physically and mentally. Meanwhile, on the opposite side, June and her friends and family just fighting to stay alive slowly begin to realize they're more important than they think. As not long after, they're forced back into battle to help continue their part in bringing about the end of the human race. However, many don't realize at first that they have more in common than they think. All they know is that many of those they've been acquainted with will likely make it out alive or as themselves. Now it's up to them to partner with their new and old friends and equate one another as allies against powerful forces in order to protect themselves, and all they ever cared about before it's too late. I recommend you be 13 years or older to read this story. ALSO, DO NOT STEAL ANY OF THE OC CHARACTERS (but I do confess that there are some characters that I don't own and I'd like to apologize to those owners that I didn't credit you all😬). I have sat often in front of the computer, and stared long at the screen without ever writing a word. The synopsis for this project has haunted me since the first person asked me "So, what is it about?", and to this day I have never been able to deliver a straight answer. This book is about a number of things, many of which do not fit evenly into a succinct description. I have tried to make them fit and have found the resulting descriptions ill-representing and dull. Thus, I have decided to go without a description. This book will fade into obscurity no matter what I put here, so I might as well write what's really important. Winter in a city is an especially punishing time. This book comes out of my late nights and early mornings riding the train, and my looking at the window and being able to make out nothing but the blur of the glass. From the outside it may look dead, but certain people know that the inner workings of a city are a true marvel to behold. In writing this, I have tried to capture that marvel and deliver it to you, the reader. This is a book about a city and the people within it. The rest is up for you to read, if you so choose. Pyre lives on whether you experience it or not. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A science-fiction novel, updated whenever there is new material to post. The last cover was AI generated, so I spent some time making a crude cover of my own. For the sake of Wattpad I have divided up the chapters into parts, so everything under "The Glow" is Chapter 1 and so on. If you have read this far into the description, I thank you; you've made it further than mostly everyone before you. I hope you stick around. ⠀⠀

The world started anew 802 years ago. After unknown centuries of barbarism following The Fall of the old civilization, the first Towers rose from the ground in the ruins of ancient cities like Chicago and Phoenix. With the rise of the Towers came a measure of control over the Entropy that covered the lands. Where, before, this chaotic energy prevented any technology more complicated than a bow and arrow from functioning, suddenly the Order Fields of the Towers allowed cities to banish Entropy to varying degrees; allowing steam engines and muskets, or with higher Order, even assault rifles and electricity to be returned to the hands of humanity. With the rise of the Towers came something more than control of Order and Entropy. With the rise of the Towers came THE GRIIDLORDS. Each city was granted 5 Griidsuits, making superheroes of their wearers, individuals with remarkable powers, each the match of a 1000 fighting men. Tiberius has been pushed to compete for the Sword of Boston by his father. His father has amassed a great fortune as a merchant, he could buy and sell the castles and lands of the lords of the city, but there is one thing his money can't buy: nobility. Tiberius has been trained and honed to compete for the Griidsuit. Winning the suit comes with the founding of a new noble house that would satisfy his father's grandest ambitions. Tiberius must compete against the sons and daughters of noble houses. These youths that have been trained by the finest tutors. These youths come from lines of Griidlords themselves, they see the suit as their birthright. These youths come from a class that disdains the very notion of a commoner competing for the suit, no matter his wealth. Tiberius must navigate his own doubts, his own inadequacy, and see if he can grow enough in the precious days of the Choosing to become worthy of becoming The Sword of Boston.
