Stevie Wells, an young adolescent who just wants to feel the strings of an alienated instrument. To play the sound of a classical melody. To disappear in a world where she wants to be. Restrictions of her abusive step-father, she was never able to. When her class schedule puts her in orchestra, she instantly falls in love with this strange instrument that sweeps her off her feet and takes her to a whole new world. The attachments of her fellow classmates, and her music instructor can lead to serious issues.
