Kat Welk is absolutely gorgeous with blonde curls and olive skin, seemingly perfect.
Laurel Belmish is a female at least. She is a natural brunette with a tan who played kickball instead of dolls as a little girl.
What will happen when these polar opposites are paired as roommates and shipped off to boarding school? Laurel's parents just couldn't wait to go to Italy, so they thought why not enroll their fifteen-year-old, who would do anything to stay in the hometown with the one her parents don't approve of, in The Mattson's Boarding School for Teens for the summer as both a punishment and a relief of Laurel as a burden. Of course, they still brought their Barbie doll eight-year-old princess along with them. Laurel obviously did not want to be there; her parents all but strapped her down to drop her off at the school. Kat was your usual happy-go-lucky popular girl, the perfect child. So why is she at a boarding school full of rejects? Only she knows, and she's forbidden to tell.
