Imagine being all alone, with no friends and a neglected, separated family. This is how Emilia Hope Cooper felt every day since her parents divorced and her brother moved away. Emilia, the smartest girl in her Freshman class, was just living her life for the sake of living, but she had nothing to live for. That is, until one particular night in the rain, when she was pondering her broken family with her head in the clouds, her world went black. She woke up after a two-week coma from being hit by a car in a bright hospital room. After many weeks at the hospital to heal her fractured bones, she was delivered to a rehab clinic to re-strengthen her muscles and bones. In depression, she was not improving the slightest bit until she met Rosalie Cham. Rosalie taught Emilia what true friendship means, bringing her out of depression now that she has Rosalie, Albert Xan, Gemma and Fabio Keterbilt, and Sandra Evan as friends. Finally happy and enjoying life, Emilia is improving at a fast rate. When tragedy strikes, everything goes downhill once more. The people in her life are trying to save her from a pit of depression, and the most unlikely person could be the one to pull her out and make her the bright, wonderful person she was before. *This is my novel from NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) that is for my humanities class.
