Just a little short story talking about discrimination, with a bit of a magical twist. Discrimination and hate towards homosexual people, people of a different race, artistic people, people with disabilities and pretty much just anyone at all who is slightly different in this world is one of the most sickening things about humanity. All of us unique people need to stick together, support each other and maybe one day everyone else will start to understand.
Let's paint a giant painting in the sky together, about what we think life on Earth should be like.

After another manic episode, Phoenix gets written off his parents' will, and he's trying to find a reason to keep living. Causing the end of the world and being the only one who can save the world wasn't exactly what he had in mind. Phoenix wasn't meant to have magical abilities, and he most definitely shouldn't have been able to make all the money in the world disappear just by thinking about it. To make matters worse, it came with a minor side effect: a disease called Gold fever. In other words, people started to turn into gold. Over the course of a single day, Phoenix becomes the most hated person in the world. As the economy collapses around them, only three of his friends are willing to stay by his side. Their job is to keep Phoenix alive while he tries to make money reappear and find a cure to Gold fever. Which turns out to be more challenging than they thought, as they find out someone is tailing Phoenix with the intention to kill.Complete

It's also possible that apart from their group of three, so have the rest of the human kind. Meanwhile, in the cottage, life more or less goes on. As Najwa mourns both her mom and the loss of her closest friend, Rain can't tear his gaze away from the golden remnants of their enemies and Rio does their best to keep everyone fed and healthy. Aspen isn't much help, not when he is holed up in his room, terrified of the power he holds. It's been said that you only realize the importance of someone when they're gone. Whether or not that is true, Aspen would give his life to get Phoenix back. There's guilt, undoubtedly, but also the fact that he has a huge crush on him. They have never even had the chance to kiss or confess their feelings, and that's just tragic. But hey, there's always a chance for a long-distance relationship. As you might imagine, the connection from one world to another isn't ideal. But if they can make it work, there's a chance to return Phoenix and the rest of the infected back to life.Complete

While in jail, she meets a young boy, they develop a friendship that turns into something more. By her 18th birthday instead of a trial and the execution she's been waiting for she gets a whole lot more. This is a fully done story that is 35 ch, exactly 128,210 words. In a world where magical creatures and humans intermix, there are two types of magic and two types of people. Dark magic and light magic. Good people and evil people. Our main character is going to learn that your powers do not define who you are as a person. Arion Griffin lives in a society where people with light magic are 'good' and people with dark magic are 'bad'. He comes from a long line of dark magic. Unfortunately, this causes many problems for his social life since his family's reputation precedes him and makes it so no one will talk with him. He is worried it will make his greatest fear come true. He is terrified he is on the path to becoming evil like his parents. Then, one day at school he gets an invitation from Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. Sure he's heard of it, but only in rumors. The school is just for magical creatures to learn more about themselves and their history. It was made over three hundred years ago and still run by a fairy named Cassiopea and her daughter Cassia. Arion is excited to go because his parents refuse to teach him anything about other magical creatures other than dark magic. They believe it is irrelevant for him to know because they think he will take over the world one day. And why should a leader know anything about his subjects? Arion convinces his parents that if he goes to the school he can do recon on the other magical people so he can learn about them and make it easier for him to take over. With no friends, no siblings, and a very negative outlook on life, he heads to Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. He makes friends and learns that just because he has dark magic, doesn't mean he is evil. *Idk if this is actually a good story but I had a lot of fun writing it! :) *This story has been editedComplete

I am republishing this for a friend who wanted to read a sample of my work. The plot is all over the place, but I know I'll revisit it in future. I initially wrote this in 2017 before I knew a lot of things I know now. There's a lot in here that is culturally insensitive. I have done my best to edit out what I could find at first glance, but if you see something glaringly offensive please make a comment about it so that I can correct my errors. The most egregious example that comes to mind is using the G-word for the Romani and relying on unflattering stereotypes. I plan to correct a lot of this in proceeding drafts.
