Imagine if you found out everything you ever knew was a lie ...if you had to change your name and start over again, leaving everything you knew behind. If you found out those closest to you were part of the lie.

What if your memories had been stolen? The memories of the boy you loved. Of your very first kiss ... what would you do? How would you react? Especially if you found out he was the one that stole them from you.

How far would you go to protect those you love? What would you do to get them back? Only time will tell...

This is my story. I only hope I get to finish it before it is too late. Too late for you. Too late for me. Too late for all of us.

Because ... the end is coming, and I've been shown a glimpse of it.

You might think this is just a story. But it is real. It's already begun and you need to know what's coming......

Highest ranked- #10 in action 2/16/2017 A promotion. That's all I wanted. I didn't want to run for my life. I didn't want to be kidnapped. I didn't want to face death. I didn't want to find out my whole life was a lie. I just wanted a bloody promotion. Guess fate had other plans? **** The cold air fanned over my face as I opened the door. The exit door lead to the back of the building so it was pitch black. I leaned against the wall trying to control myself. Blood was running down my arm and head. My hair was stuck to my face from all the sweat and blood. Everything was spinning around me and the ground seemed like it was shaking. Groaning I sat down and put my head on my knees. He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I heard the opening of a car and the next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car. My head hit the hard leather seat and the door shut behind me. Maybe this is how my life will end. Maybe I should just let it happen. Maybe I was destined to die alone as a no one. With that I let the darkness consume me.

{COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. And when we arrive, we will arrive violently. ___________________________________________ Started: 10.06.15 Finished: 3.17.16

How very noble of you, Mr. Lockhart. I don't need your help. I can do just fine." I retorted. "I'm a lot of things, Victoria." Tyler said leaning against the banister. "But noble is not one of them." "After today, I'm not even going to argue with that fact. They should have named you Lucifer." He smiled, not kindly. "Think of it as a warning from the devil himself. I will not warn you a second time. Throw yourself at me, Vicky, and I'll take what I want." *** Victoria Lane and Tyler Lockhart have been best friends since they were kids, and the two have been through thick and thin together. Tyler is fun, charismatic and makes Victoria weak in the knees. What Tyler doesn't know is that Vicky has been in love with him for a long time. Tyler Lockhart has been hiding some skeletons in his closet, he is a billionaire and comes from an influential family; the Lockharts' have been cursed with a life long of bad omen and while Tyler's mother has tried hard to keep him from showing his true nature to society, sometimes, all it takes is one small mistake. When Vicky finds out the truth, things turn from bad to worse and Tyler is forced to leave town. Vicky's life comes crashing down when Tyler steps foot in town almost ten years later, and he's come back with a motive; to stay and to win Vicky back. *** Cover made using Canva WARNING: Story contains profanity, sexual tensions and abuse. I just...don't know if the truth is better than a lie." ----- "We're better off dead, aren't we?" "...Yeah, we are." "Good." ----- "What's the point in living when you're built without a purpose?" ----- "Deities, gods, whatever you call them, are nothing more than puppets; cruel, unforgivable puppets drenched in the blood of the very people they were supposed to protect." ----- "We've lived a thousand lives, and we were built for only one purpose; for if we weren't, then what right do we have to exist if not to live for solely that purpose? For their entertainment." ----- "We may be without muzzles, but we're still on a leash. Don't forget that." ----- "You lied to me, and that's how all this came to be." ----- To those who find themselves reading this, know that appearances will deceive you.
