"Wait. Are you actually serious?" She spun around, rolling her eyes, laughing. "I'm sorry. I've got to go. It's been fun, though!" She shot up as her phone rang, ignoring him entirely. She left him standing there, uncharacteristically speechless. 

It didn't work. He hadn't truly affected her at all.

It's been said (and proven) that the Devil is the master of seduction. No one anywhere can resist the sensual lies he dishes out in the pursuit of fulfilling his ambitions. Christians know them well enough, and television helps remind the less faithful of the Beast's hobbies while he waits for the End of Days: the old prowling of the earth, the perpetual search for the ruin of souls, all that. Yet, one Halloween- his favourite day, no less, when he's REALLY on his A-Game, he gets totally put in his place. The girl didn't even think twice before spurning his advances. 

It didn't work with her. WHY THE HELL NOT? 

{Okay, so this is clearly supposed to be comical. Let's hope it is! I actually quite like the idea of some average girl affronting Satan like he's a regular semi-boring guy and having him get all obsessed with making it happen...like a...regular semi-boring guy. I hope you all will enjoy it, too! It'll definitely be entertaining to write. I've definitely drawn inspiration from real situations here so IF you know me irl know this is all in good fun!
