But, Emmett Fenton isn't about to let that spoil his writer's high. He may be young with a messiah complex, but he knows that he can find the real killer. Old skeletons rise from their carefully hidden graves to wreak havoc on the life he has built for himself. Emmett knows that the only person he can rely on is himself, but even this is tested when certain things come to light. If the police are too lazy to solve the case, then he'll solve it for them. He is a murder mystery writer, after all, and has done this more than a dozen times before. Only in this world, people can get killed without his permission.

The scent of the short teen used to have was gone, replaced with the putrid smell of death and rot that covered the whole room and the killer himself. Blood smudged all over the teen and onto the older man as he attempted to escape. He got hungry and tired. He just wanted to eat and then sleep. He was preparing the girl, cutting her body apart and tearing the flesh off the bones, which is why the room was such a mess with her blood. Now, he had the boy in his hands. The hunger overtook him. The sharp pain of large "canine" teeth being plunged into his neck made Cameron scream. It was cut short, his whole body freezing up as the crazy man sunk his large fangs into his neck, ripping a large chunk of the boy's flesh in between his teeth.
