Silence is such a weird concept; it's the absence of sound is all, and yet people have such different reactions to it, some would prefer silence over people, some go nearly insane when forced into silence, and some people have no choice but to adapt to silence as a life long companion. Naoko was in the third group of people; three years ago, a villain attack not only robbed her of her parents, it also did permanent damage to her ears that even people who had healing quirks couldn't fix.
She was told over and over again that there was a slight possibility she could regain some portion of her hearing, but after a year, she simply gave up hope. Now she is striving to attend the most prestigious high School, UA, just to prove to all those people had pitied her for the last several years that she is stronger than ever.
Perhaps if she convinces them, she'll be able to prove the same thing to herself.

But when the villains attack, her classmates become worried - In this AU they have markings of were their soulmate will touch them, during an important moment. for example if its to grab their hand after making a promise, then there will be a hand print on their palm. However, the mark is black, and you only get your mark when you turn 14. When the moment happens, the mark begins to glow and from then on is their hair color. However the soulmate thing won't pop up in the story for a while because people tend to ignore it. It is a thing you only talk about with people close to you. Katsuki Bakugou was almost completely deaf. He could barely hear his own explosions anymore, but that didn't stop him from trying to become a pro hero. He couldn't wait to prove everyone wrong when they said he couldn't be a hero because of his hearing loss. He manages to pass the UA entrance exams and gets accepted, along with his childhood friend, Midoriya. They're placed in class 1-A with the luck that the home room teacher actually knows asl. The transition from middle school to high school isn't the smoothest. Navigating through high school and the pro hero world is hard for someone with all five senses, let alone someone who couldn't hear. Katsuki stumbles... a lot. When Midoriya catches him staring at the duel haired boy in their class during training, he's quick to tease him for it. They sign quickly, Katsuki's movements for aggressive than normal. They gain the attention of Shoto Todoroki, who in turn, stares back. It was obvious that they were signing about him, but he had no clue what they were saying. Izuku Midoriya had watched his mentor fight for his life and end up using the last of his power. Now being the sole wielder of One for All, Izuku knows he needs to work even harder to be able to live up to All Might. Although through all this it takes a toll on him and others notice. How long can he keep the secret of his quirk and what he has to achieve from his friends? Katsuki Bakugo felt like it was his fault All Might lost his power. Now that he also figured out Midoriya's secret he wants to do whatever it takes to get him stronger so he can take that mantle, while also getting stronger himself so he can stay one step ahead. But soon his classmates notice him spending more and more time helping Midoriya, so how will he be able to explain his sudden change of demeanor without revealing the big secret. Ochako Uraraka had always admired Deku. Ever since she met him she knew he was a great person who would become and even greater hero. It wasn't until some time ago though that she realized her feelings were more then that. As she starts to see Deku work himself even harder every day she knew something was troubling him. Knowing how he is about that she wanted to help him however she could, so she's going to try and pursue her feelings so she could help him. This is a What If fanfic that takes place after season 3 of the anime, where with the help of Bakugo, Deku begins to train even harder then before to wield One for All fully, but wears himself down to the bone in the process. Soon though others notice this and start to look into Midoriya more and start to uncover the truth about One for All. As this is going on as well Uraraka decides to finally follow her heart and pursue Deku, not only because of her desires but because of how she wants to help him with his troubles.
