Mary Adams was a pretty and young dame who loved to play around with the boys in the fanciest of club's, though she would rarely lift her skirt for them, but as the war loomed closer and the boys left to enlist in the army, Mary found herself joining the Army Nurses Corp, but through all the men Mary tended to, she found a real liking to one man in particular, Sergeant Barnes, they connected instantly, and after their initial meeting, they wrote to each other as often as possible, but as the letters progressed, Mary got more and more worried, and the war wasn't the only reason why, when she found out James had gone missing, she made it her mission to find him.
Contains some touchy subjects but I'll put warnings in the beginning of every chapter when it does.

A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world.
The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
