It was only a dare. "I dare you to spend two days in the haunted mansion in Foxglove Forest," Veronica sneered at Jedidiah, "...with Callie Weird." Anyone but Calliope Weir. She was bat-shit, and that mansion was haunted. She would try to summon the spirits or something. She made Jedidiah want to legitimately break his own eardrums and scoop his eyes out. Her taste was sweeter than I imagined it could be. My eyes fall closed even as I want to force then open.
