I was a waitress at a diner downtown. It was my third job this week; the other two I got fired from. People had trouble trusting me, said I was bad for business, scaring people off. You see, I wasn't exactly normal.

I lived at the end of Bloom Court, in the mansion. It was pretty, but a lot of the townsfolk called it haunted. I guess it was. I mean, I was in it. Not many people liked me. Maybe it was because I didn't really let anyone get close. The last time that happened I was turned into a monster. 

Literally. 

And maybe people didn't try to get close because I seemed a little too strong, or a little too fast. Or maybe it was because everyone thought I had murdered Mason Kelp, which I did, but they didn't need to know that. It could be that I never let anyone in my house, not even the police, so a lot of people think I'm hiding something, which I was. I mean, how would you explain a blood bank?

So, yeah, I wasn't normal. Or the usual not normal people. I wasn't human, either.
