They never remembered each other when they where young, she was just some girl with her family visiting his home, he was just some boy who was there.

But years later when the avatar is found and retrieved by prince Zuko, he returns home as he dreamed, redeemed by his father after three years but it doesn't mean the wars over. In desperate need to protect both water tribes, yue is already engaged but the Chiefs daughter of the southern water tribe is forced to marry the eldest and only son of the fire nation for an alliance between the two, for the fire nation to stay away from the water tribe.

Katara hates it there, the heat, the red, the gold, especially the gold, it reminded her of the princes eyes, a man she hates she's forced to marry.

enemies, to friends, to lovers. ______________ hi there. so, this is modern. they still have bending, ba sing se is a place etc. it's just like ATLA except with technology i guess? not sure how to explain it. but we've got zukka because im in love with it, kataang and then.. toph. but there is not firelord stuff or anything like that. i'm editing this 3 chapters in because it followed the plot line better LMAO suki died. i haven't put too much research into when she died, but i'm gonna say this is like a year or so after the last episode of atla. they need to be aged up LMAO sokka is 17, zuko 18. katara 16 and for the sake of the plot aang is also 16. toph is 15. mature content warning. minimal swearing if y'all care LMAO. its slow burn and a lot of beating around the bush. they don't wanna admit anything and sokkas just overall afraid to love again after every woman or girl he's loved has died in some form. minus katara and toph. zukos head over heels you could say, he's realizing what affection really feels like. so this leaves him questioning

Calm and patient Xia became Zuko's new sparring partner, and Iroh's favorite Pai Sho challenger. "How can you be drinking tea at a time like this?!" Zuko demanded. I looked at him as if surprised by his stupidity, "because I do not particularly like cold tea." A laugh followed my statement and we both turned to Iroh, "you see, Prince Zuko. Xia knows that there are times to march forward, but there are also times to take a step back." "What does that even mean?" Zuko asked furiously. "It means that I take time to think," I replied gently. "Now, why don't we go and continue your quest for the Avatar?" *I update by book. So the first thirteen chapters are book one. Updates are very slow, but over ten chapters at a time.

How could she not, after all he's done? But he's there, and she's always, always conscious of that fact. In the third, and final, installment of When Worlds Collide, Sam has to make a choice. Several choices. Who will she choose? What will she choose? Is Sam doomed to never see her family again, or she doomed to never see her new friends and home again?
