"Normally they had one of the more fun forms of magic, the power to literally transport their conscience into the world they were reading about, they became a character in the story. I have to admit I was rather envious, yes I can read minds (among other things) and if I latch onto the thought stream of someone with this ability I can pretty much catch a free ride into their world but I can't do it by myself, and usually once I'm discovered I get shut out. This time would probably be no different but his emotions were excited, worried and feirce all at the same time and I was intrigued."
