"You're my North Star." I whisper.
"Really?" I catch a glimpse of a smile.
I nod. "You always point me towards north."
"Uh... The North Star isn't always going to be northwards because Earth's axis changes slightly over time...and stars move in relation to each other... over time." She says slowly, playing with the hem of her shirt.
So much for trying to be romantic.
"That's lovely sweetheart." I say dryly.
