Arabella has been trapped inside the Institution – a facility for people with supernatural abilities – long enough to go insane with despair, loneliness, and desolation. When a telekinetic boy by the name of Beck takes up residence in the cell beside hers, she can feel the hope radiating off of him, can see the fire burning in his eyes, and she finds herself feeling something new – desire.

She can see the good in this boy and she wants a taste of it.

She wants to escape into his mind and stay there, even if using her power means nothing but trouble.
