Beneath Our Talons is a Discord roleplay server for the series Wings Of Fire. (Ask me for an invite- I recommend joining to understand these characters better!) This is a collection of short stories, reflecting the stories of a few characters in the server, written in the same style as the WOF Winglets books.
Mature because of swearing and violence!
Some parts or quotations from this are inspired heavily by the Wings of Fire books.

'The largest egg in mountain high, will give to you the wings of sky.' We all know how the SkyWing egg was lost right? Well, in this world, what if the SkyWing egg didn't shatter? What if the dragonet inside it actually survived? What if the SkyWing was hidden in a deep pit with only a sick IceWing guardian to take care of? After ten years, when the war of the SandWing Succession has finally come to a glorious ending and the Eye of Onyx has crowned Thorn as their new SandWing queen, Soaren, the surviving SkyWing, has been having trouble living in the pit for ten years all his life. He wanted to see the world. He wanted the sun to finally touch his scales. He wanted to spread his wings freely. His very, very large wings. When his IceWing guardian was about to die of SandWing venom, Soaren was determined to save him by travelling to the Rainforest, where he heard he could retrieve the cure for the venom. It would have been easier than going to the Sand Kingdom. But as Soaren flies through his journey, he meets a peculiar dragon as he passes the Sea Kingdom and some interesting dragons while he stays in the Rainforest. However, a strange occurrence happened at Jade Mountain. He and a few friends try to solve the mystery, gathering up all the clues while the SkyWing wonders if he should go back to his guardian. Soaren had hid his true identity as the 'lost' SkyWing, but he needs to eventually open up. With the NightWings in the Rainforest, more mind readers will be born and they'll find out who he is. But worst of all, he'll have to face something far more terrible than anyone could have imagined... This a story based on the book series Wings Of Fire, obviously. In this universe, most of the canon events didn't happen, and are instead replaced by my own original stories and characters. No canon characters from the books exist in this world. There is at least one fantribe in this world, that fantribe belonging to me. Mud'wings don't exist in this world, because i have an unexplained hatred for them. Pearl has been living a calm life, moving every six months between the Kingdom of Sea in Pyrrhia and an isolated river in Pantala. Pearl, after a couple days worth of traveling in the ocean with her mother, had finally reached their summer house in Pantala. But suddenly something attackers her, making her blackout and wake up behind bars. She is asked to work for an organization, which she reluctantly agrees. Nightfighter is a strange NightWing, he has light blue eyes and most importantly, the powers of the NightWings lost centuries ago. He has both mind reading and prophecy telling. He attends Jade Mountain Academy meeting Moonwatcher, another mind reader. He meets new friends, his winglet. He soon finds out about dark secrets along with his newly found friends. Death follows, with a great danger lurking above them. Will Nightfighter and his friends survive? Or will they die trying? If you haven't read the books yet, this might be a bit confusing because this takes place first in book six and takes some information from book 7. Most of this book was made before book 9: "Talons of Power" so I might get some stuff wrong. Wings Of Fire and it's characters does not belong to me but to Tui T. Sutherland, all rights are hers.
